Search for Courses

Health Education England working across Yorkshire and the Humber have developed this website in conjunction with education providers to promote Specialist Skills and Post Registration Development (SSPRD) and Clinical Skills/Simulation (CSS) courses available across the region. The website is designed to improve access to course information by providing a central search facility, with links to the education provider websites for more detailed information.

Access to the e-learning modules, available via the regional e-learning club, is also promoted as these modules are freely available to all providers of NHS services within Yorkshire and the Humber.

Funding for SSPRD courses, which may also include CSS courses

The SSPRD Budget is provided by Health Education England's Yorkshire and the Humber team (HEE YH), and managed by the education providers.

Please contact the education providers for specific course queries. Their contact details can be found by following the “Further Information” link for the appropriate course.

Please click here to find out if you are eligible to attend a course and for further HEE YH contact details.

To select all CSS courses regardless of the funding route please use the advanced search facility and restrict the “Levels” to include “Clinical Skills” and “Simulation”.

Funding for CSS courses, which are not funded by the SSPRD budget*

Funding for CSS courses, which are not funded by the SSPRD budget, could be variable depending upon your employer. Please contact the organisation who is providing the course by following the “Further Information” link and they will be able to provide specific information relating to your personal circumstances.

To select all CSS courses regardless of the funding route please use the advanced search facility and restrict the “Level” to include “Clinical Skills” and “Simulation”.

*Please note: These courses will gradually be added to the website following the introduction of this new area at the end of 2014.

Enter search terms here. Courses with your terms in the title will appear first in the search results, followed by ones that have your terms linked to them. If you check the "Exact keywords" box, then only whole words will be matched against your terms, for example if you search for "mental", then courses with "fundamental" in the title will not be included in your results.

  • University/College/Education Centre: Learning takes place at a university or college. Attendance may be weekly, or in blocks of days.
  • Work Based: The majority of learning takes place in the workplace. This may be complemented by some attendance at the university or college to learn underpinning academic theory and share best practice.
  • Distance Learning: Teaching takes place through a mixture of print and electronic methods. Contact with students and staff is generally through telephone, email and web-based discussion. There may be short periods of time during the learning period where attendance at the university or college is required.
